3 Reasons You Should Be At The NRA Show
It’s here, it’s finally here! The National Restaurant Association Show starts in Chicago this Saturday, May 16. Tens of thousands of foodservice professionals will pour into the McCormick Place to see the booths that follow the latest trends and topics. This show offers something for everyone – hundreds of stands ranging from nutrition information and culinary demonstrations, to technology and sustainability practices. If we haven’t persuaded you already, here are three reasons any restaurant industry member should attend the NRA Show.
1. Free Education Sessions: How to Make Your Brand the Best
The NRA Show will be composed of many booths that teach participants about the latest trends and changes that the restaurant industry is experiencing. Attendees can take this free knowledge and apply it to perfect their establishment.
There will also be booths that educate operators through the act of demonstration. Foodamental Studio, for example, gives people the opportunity to act hands-on with the industry’s top chefs and leaders. Physically acting out the techniques can ensure that you will be able to transfer the hottest trends into your restaurant.
2. Award Showcases: Learn about Leading Trends and Technologies
The NRA Show will be presenting several awards that have been earned because of the significant impact made by innovative products to the restaurant industry, The first is the Food and Beverage Awards (FABI) that acknowledges food and beverage products that represent today’s latest trends. Each of the 28 winners will be displayed throughout the exhibit halls at the McCormick Place. Some trends being showcased include gluten-free options, vegetarian choices and local-sourcing initiatives.
The Kitchen Innovation Awards honor equipment and technologies that increase productivity on the back-end. 23 innovators have been selected to show how they have boosted efficiency. Some topics addressed are waste reduction and addressing space constraints.
Finally, the Star of the Bar competition finals will be held at the House of Blues on May 17. Finalists from six regional competitions will demonstrate their skills for those who are interested in seeing what sets these bartenders apart from the rest.
Stopping by the “winner’s circle” can enlighten professionals on what trends they can bring into their restaurant to improve the experience and efficiency. The NRA allows restaurants to gain special insight before the rest of the industry.
And saving the best reason for last…
3. Uncorkd Will be in Attendance!
