Kavalan’s whisky taste wonderful and the barrel expression they create are innovative. Seriously, have a glass. Have a whole bottle. The young Taiwanese distillery only opened in 2006, but it’s already producing some of the world’s best whisky. Eater has a great profile on Kavalan and it’s origin story. Read the story. Beer sales’ growth has gone a bit flat in 2016. But beer is still doing really well. Beer sales through June are only up .5% over last year for the same period. But the explosive growth of the segment, lead by craft beer, was going to be impossible to keep up with.
